Burgoo has been feeding Vancouver comfort food since December 2001, when three friends who met playing ultimate frisbee opened the original spot in Point Grey and named it after a Kentucky stew. Old-world countryside comfort food is the pitch: soups, stews, pot pies, mac and cheese, pressed grilled cheese sandwiches. Vegetarian-friendly, vegan options, full bar. What I Would Order at Burgoo
Mac and cheese, no contest. It is $20, it is the dish the place is built around, and you add the bacon and tomato for $3 because some rules are just rules.
